Asolo and Caterina Cornaro
Asolo owes much of its identity to Caterina Cornaro, who chose to establish her court here after leaving the throne of Cyprus. Under her rule, the town became a place of balance between power and culture, removed from the excesses of large cities but rich in intellectual stimulation. Asolo established itself as a meeting place and a site of contemplation, where the landscape engaged in dialogue with court life and with the artistic production of the time. This legacy is still perceptible today: an elegant, reserved, and cultured town, able to welcome without ostentation and to offer beauty through restraint and harmony.
Completing our hospitality
Experience Country & Wine House
In a panoramic setting in the lands of Asolo, of Canova and Palladio, the estate is a place of peace among the Prosecco DOCG hills, at the foot of the fortress of one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, within the boundless horizons that stretch from the Venetian Lagoon to Monte Grappa. Perched at an elevation of about 200 metres above sea level, Progress Country & Wine House can be discreetly glimpsed, immersed in a charming tapestry of vineyards and olive groves, just behind Villa Rinaldi, a splendid seventeenth-century residence inspired by the Palladian tradition.
Elegance and authenticity in Venice
